Bld6L

216 panels of 450 WPeak on Building 6L

Background

  1. ASML wanted 'BREEAM' certification for Building 3. For this, they needed to install more solar panels than what fitted on the roof of Building 3 itself. So install the excess panels on Bld6KLM
  2. Since plans were made, solar panels became more efficient and less panels were needed to comply with BREEAM requirements. But the steel support structure was already built.
  3. Niels Schoorlemmer, renewable energy consultant, saw a possibility for a small startup project for our cooperative: It could use the unused space on the roof of Building 6L and apply for an SCE subsidy (Subsidy scheme Cooperative Energy generation).

Where our panels will come...

Who can participate

The SCE subsidy comes with conditions:

  1. All participants should live in a central postal code or one of the postal codes directly bordering it. In our case: 5501, 5502, 5503, 5504, 5505, 5581, 5653 and 5655. The production installation should also be in this area.
If a person later moves out of this area, he/she can keep his/her participation.
  2. There should be at least <capacity> / 5 KWPeak participants, in our case: 17 (we applied for 81 kWPeak, later on it turned out that there was space for more panels).
  3. Per address, only 1 person can participate.
And there are conditions from the coop:
  1. Only members of the coop can participate
  2. You can register only once. Contact us at info@solarrun.nl if you want to modify or remove your registration

Our 'Econobis' administration package is in Dutch. Some texts are configurable and we changed these to English, so now there is a mixture. We made a manual in English to help you through the process. It might be handy for Dutch-speaking people also.
